Each week brings a new delight of blooms, insects, birds, and other wonders of nature. We’ll scout the gardens for inspiration, butterflies, garden visitors and other surprises that present themselves to us. Attendees will learn about the importance of native plants to our eco-system. The tour is informal and allows time for questions. This is a great way to be introduced to native plants.
Tours are held Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM and the third Thursday in April, May, and June at 6:30 PM. They last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the group and the number of questions.
Please sign up for the tours in advance so we know how many people to expect. If there are no registrations, we may not hold the tour. If the tour is being held, walk-ins are welcome.
If you wish to make a donation with your registration, enter the dollar amount. Otherwise, leave the amount at $0.00. Maximum group size is five. For groups larger than 5 please make special arrangements.
These tours are designed for individuals who would like to learn more about native plants and our nursery. Tours for groups such as garden clubs and school groups can be held by arrangement; a fee may apply.
Donations for the tour will be used to support Edge of the Woods demonstration gardens, American Chestnut Orchard, and our Habitat Program which helps organizations create community habitat gardens. Your support is greatly appreciated.
